Willow Season 1 Episode 2 review

Today I'm going to give you my review of episode 2 of Willow. Please be advised there are spoilers ahead.

This episode compared to episode one was a but boring and not much in a way of action. We spend some time in the underground with the Nelwyn who are excited to see Elora Danan especially Willows daughter. At the start of the episode we jump back to the past and Willow explains to Sorsha his vision. The de-aging effect of Willow as good but I will have to say the acting wasn't up to par. It looked like to me that they were new actors trying to start off in acting rather then being seasoned actors that they both are.

Willow agrees to go with them to the Shattered Sea and will try and train Elora in the art of magic. There are some funny but frustrating moments in this as she tries to multiple times speak a spell in order to make a seed grow.

We see one of the Crones servants telling her that the child has revealed herself and we found out that Ballantine is under his influence and Sorsha sends him to fine her but doesn't tell Ballantine the child's true identity but we can see that being under the creatures influence he knows who she is. The servant said that she has strayed from her sanctuary, but the crone says that she could still destroy her and that Elora Danan must not reach the city.

Willow seems to be dejected and tells Sila that they should go back. Sila says he cannot believe he's the one saying this particularly since it's him that had to listen to it all day, but Willow has to be patient. Willow says that he doesn't understand, it's too late. The power inside her had to be nurtured or it would dissipate till there was nothing left. She was Elora Danan once, she's not anymore.

Silas reminds Willow of his vision. He saw her fight the Crone. He said no, it his vision he wakes up on a battlefield. His body broken, he crawled through the rubble, Nelwyn, Daikini, till he found her. No matter what he did, no matter how many times he tries to change her fate. In the end for our world to survive Elora Danan must die.

At the last part of the episode Elora wakes up by herself and is frustrated the magic didn't work. She screams in frustration and then is knocked unconscious by Ballantine. As he drags her away the seed begins to grow

Overall as I've said a boring episode, my overall rating I'd give it a 2/5. Of what I have heard in relation to episode 3 that it's not that great, I'll give it a watch and may watch episode 4 next week. If that proves to be not great either I might not watch any further but I will see. I'd like to give a series a chance but after 4 episodes if it's not that great I'll give it a miss.

That's all for now, please let me know what you thought of the episode in the comment below.
