Today I'm going to give you my review of Season 4 episode 2 of the Dragon Prince, episode intitled Fallen Stars. Please note there are spoilers ahead so if you haven't seen it then watch it first.
The episode opens with Claudia telling her father that in order for the being in the Chrysalis to keep Viren alive they will need to go up Storm Spire. Claudia opens a portal to the base of the mountain and they need to go up to the top of the mountain in order to get Viren's Staff which they need to awaken the being. During the climb Viren is terrified as he is not comfortable especially since he fell of it the last time. Claudia tells her father that Terry's Farts smell like Petrichor a smell of fresh rain hitting dry stone, she says (it smells so good when he farts) i have to admit I laughed my head off when she said it. They reach the Gate and Claudia has some Puffer Bats that will help them breath as they go further up the mountain.
As they head up Viren gets a panic attacked and faints. Terry wakes him up, Viren tells Terry that he is afraid of heights. Terry says that heights should be afraid of you to which Viren said that he died falling off the mountain to which Terry says (But only the one time). I had to laugh at that as well. Terry farts and both he and Claudia laugh. Viren is not impressed and then suddenly has another panic attack and falls from the mountain but luckily Claudia uses her dark magic to rescue him from falling to far.
Viren thinks about the 30 days he has left and said he should enjoy the life that he has left and enjoy the moment with Claudia who is the most special person he has ever known and to let go. Claudia slaps him and says he is not letting go. Not as long as he has her by his side. She brought him back from the dead and is not going to let go. They hear the roar of the Dragon Queen and they see her and Zym flying away to Katolis. Claudia tells her dad that he can go down the mountain and that she and Terry will get the staff now that the Dragons have gone.
Callum receives the book Tome of Translation, the book is delivered by a magical bird. Callum enters his quarters and looks through the book and says to Bait that every rune must me in the book, until he gets half way and finds the rest of the book has blank pages. He gets upset as he can't find any of the runes in the book that are on the mirror. As he puts his hands on his face in despair he knocks the ink on the blank page of the book and then a copy of the ink is on the next page. Bait nudges Callum who looks up and then sees the page. He asks bait if he writes the runes on the page it might translate it, bait nods. Callum begins to write the runes on the sheet and as he does so the translation comes up on the other page. The translation reads "In Darkness gaze upon a fallen Star". Bait looks at a cube as it begins to glow. Callum also sees it glow and goes over to it. As Callum is about to pick it up a small creature grabs it. Callum turns to go after it and sees Rayla.
In another part of the story we see Amaya and Janai together and they both welcome Janai's brother Karim. As Amaya and Gren leave, Karim walks his sister out and said that he loves Amaya but has some concerns. He is concerned of the Symbolism of both her and Amaya being together. What message would it give to the people if she was to marry a human. It would confirm their fears that the Empire is ending, that the rising sun is now a falling star. They lost Lux Aurea, the great capital & not able to redeem it. He said she could have what she wants without the symbolism, she could live with Amaya as if she was married, he said not to make it official, do not make it a symbol.
Amaya meets with Janai in her tent. They use sign language to speak. Amaya says that they may be moving to fast. Janai says no, she loves her and wants to marry her. She signs again "you don't mean us you mean humans & Elves. Janai Nods, Janai said that she doesn't know, she just doesn't know.
