Hi everyone today I'm going to give you my review of episode 4 of Tales of the Jedi. Please be advised spoilers ahead.
The story opens in the Jedi Temple were we see Dooku in the Jedi Archive using Sifo-Dyas code to delete the planet Kamino from the archives. As he leaves he sees a commotion going on and asks Master Jocasta what was going on. She said that Qui-Gon encountered a Sith Lord on Tatooine.
Qui-Gon and Yaddle meet Dooku and explains his encounter with the Sith Lord. Dooku gathered that the Jedi Council was not eager to validate the conclusion. Qui-Gon says they were not. Dooku said that he has been warning the Jedi Council for years of the coming darkness.
Some time has passed and Qui-Gon has been killed by the Sith Lord Darth Maul. Dooku reminisces at a tree that Qui-Gon was always fascinated by. Yaddle informs Dooku that the council is heading for Naboo as the funeral is being held there.
Dooku won't be going. Yaddle asks Dooku if he holds the council responsible, he says to her that Qui-Gon is one with the force. Dooku leaves the Jedi temple with Yaddle following behind. He meets with Darth Sidious.
Dooku tells Sidious that he has gone to far in allowing Maul to kill Qui-Gon. Sidious questions Dooku's Loyalty. Dooku says that he has betrayed everyone and everything he knows. How many have died because of his actions.
Yaddle confronts them both. She says that ends now. Sidious thinks Dooku has betrayed him. Dooku walks towards Yaddle. Yaddle Tells Dooku to come to her and whatever his crimes are to help her now. Dooku knows that she has heard everything. She says it does not matter.
Sidious says not to trust her. Yaddle said whatever he has done he can make up for by bringing him to Justice. Sidious reminds him that the Jedi blindly serve a corrupt senate that fails the Republic it represents. He wants Dooku to prove his loyalty by killing her.
Dooku ignites his Lightsaber and the two fight. She seems to have the same fighting style as Yoda. She said that she was on his side. She tells Dook that she stepped down from her position in the council. That he was right about so many things, the council should have listened.
Their fight continues. Yaddle says that he has run into the arms of the evil. They fight again and this time he uses the force to drop the mechanical doors on her thinking he has killed her. She raises the door and collapses in front of it before Dooku and Sidious. She is left weakened.
He walks over to her and says that he only wanted to bring peace and order to the galaxy. She says that already so many have suffered for what he called "order". Dooku then says "let me give you peace Master Yaddle" and kills her with his lightsaber. Sidious smiles.
This obviously brings Dooku's downfall full circle by killing Yaddle which explains why she is not seen in the later movies. Bryce Dallas Howard daughter of Ron Howard does the voice of Yaddle and I think she has done an excellent job in this episode. Bryce Dallas Howard has also directed a number of Star Wars episodes and is a fan favorite and I have to agree. I think she should be given a chance to be a show runner of a Star Wars series, but that is just my opinion.
