Star Trek Coda Book 2 The Ashes of Tomorrow review

This is my review of Book two of Star Trek Coda. This sequal to the first book I think is far superior and has plenty of action. The end of everything is getting ever closer. In this book we get to see the usual characters that survived the first book in this book along with some of the character from Deep Space Nine.

The Devidian threat continues to grow. While Starfleet is shown the dangers of the threat against the Devidians they have a wait and see approach which infuriates Picard and other who eventually go out on their own to stop the threat. The threat grows ever dangerous. As Picard and the remaining crew of the USS Aventine try to stop what is happening they are constantly pursued by Admiral Riker. As the story goes on we find out why Riker is so angry towards Picard and why he is in hot pursuit against him.

There is a large cast of characters in the book which includes, Sisko, Odo, Kira, O'Brien, Data and his daughter Lal, Alexander, Ro Laren, Spock, Tom Paris and B'Elanna etc., This story is mainly set on the Bajorian system. There are some twists in this story. Sadly there as some deaths of some of our beloved characters which I won't say here so be ready with those handkerchiefs. It's a moving story as well as an action story. You definitely won’t get bored while reading The Ashes of Tomorrow. Before you know it, the book has rushed to its cliffhanger.

I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to reading book 3. If any of you have read books 1 and 2 let me know what you think in the comments. I give this book overall a 10/10.
